Datatrial Limited was founded in 1999 by an investigator and entrepreneur, who saw firsthand the need for electronic data capture capabilities designed with the investigative site user in mind. By 2001, Datatrial had conducted their first EDC studies and had acquired vital information from their site experience concerning workflows and requirements. In 2002, Datatrial added Data Management and Statistical services to complement their leading EDC solution, nowEDC™.

Datatrial is a privately held company with corporate headquarters in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK and North American headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Solutions
Datatrial provides solutions to the clinical research community, through its Clinical Data Management and Statistical services and its electronic data capture suite featuring nowEDC™ and nowReport™. nowEDC™ provides a web-based data collection solution focused on ease of use and efficiency at the investigative site, while providing dynamic functionality to the supporting clinical teams. Access to data is key and the easy to use, wizard-driven reporting solution, nowReport™, provides customers real-time access to current trial data for precise decision making and patient safety management. Both systems are fully validated to 21CFR Part 11 specifications, under the control of an industry leading software development life cycle, and are available under an outsourced service model or through the transfer of technology to its customers to brand, configure and manage independently.

Datatrial also provides traditional Data Management and Statistical services supported by industry experienced data services team and utilizing Oracle Clinical and SAS tools. Datatrial also offers the Oracle Pharmaceutical Application Suite (OC, RDC and TMS) to customers under a hosted Application Service Provision (ASP) model and is able to tailor system usage and growth expectations for all sized companies, including system transfer when a company has reached critical milestones and stability.

Datatrial also offers a suite of consultancy and training services to provide high level support and comprehensive training to its partners and customers.
